Fractures and Finals

It has been quite a while since I last blogged, and for two good reasons! I fractured my foot, then as soon as it healed it was time for final exams! After my finals, I took some time off to put together all the pieces of my brain so that I am ready for my last semester as an undergraduate! Now I am back to blogging and have some fun posts in the works, including one about the brilliant supernova that was observed this week! I also have been spending a lot of nights doing laser shows, which means that I get to hang out in the planetarium more!

In the past couple of months my bearded dragon, Falkor, has grown so much. So I want to take the time to show you some adorable pictures of him.

He grew so much since I first got him! These pictures are fairly to scale. He has shed three times already, and I think he is about to shed again.

photo_1He has never been scared of my cats, but they used to be scared of him. They really like hanging out in his cage, probably because it is so warm. Whenever we take him out they always hop into his cage as fast as they can; it can be quite annoying. But the result is these adorable pictures of them interacting!

photoEvery night when we put him to bed, we put this little blanket in there for him. He loves it so much! A lot of times he will crawl under it, or curl up on top, but I think it is hilarious when he just passes out like a dog! His legs look so funny in this picture. I have to say, bearded dragons really do make great pets and I am so glad that I got Falkor. Feeding him live insects doesn’t even gross me out anymore, it is actually quite fun! I highly recommend reptiles as pets!

  1. Hooray!! I’ve missed your updates! I can’t to read the post about the supernova! I wasn’t able to get access to a telescope/binoculars but I’ve been looking up every night possible imaging what it would look like. ♥

    1. Aw, thanks! It just past its peak this week. I haven’t had a chance to look at it myself, but I have been enjoying the beautiful pictures!
