Dinosaurs in Spring

Daffodils and Tulips are my favorite flowers. I never realized that they are both spring flowers; it seems like a no brainer. I used to pretend that I didn’t like spring, because I love winter so much. But I must confess, I really do love the spring. I love the smell; I love the feeling of “new beginnings”. I bought five bunches of Daffodils from Trader Joe’s the other day for a whopping $7. Yeah, 50 flowers for seven dollars! I love that place.

When I bought the flowers, they were not open yet. Once they opened, I was so excited to see that they were white daffodils with a bright orange center.  Those are my favorite.

This week has been weird. It wasn’t great starting the week with April Fools Day, because you can never believe anything you hear. Also, I can’t seem to keep my mind on one project. I have so much to do, but can’t really find my footing. I just don’t know where to start. All I want to do is make more dinosaur shoes. Maybe I will post them on Etsy as a custom item!

My youngest cat, Gumball, has been hanging out with me constantly. My office is upstairs, and my boyfriend’s office is in the basement. Usually Gumball is obsessed with him and lays on his lap while he works. But since last month, she has been lounging around with me. I think it has to do with the window being open on nice days! Whatever the reason, I feel loved.

Spring was in the air this past week, but yesterday it was chilly and windy. I really hope that the nice weather comes back. I want to open my window again and smell the fresh air!

Even though it wasn’t as nice as I had hoped, I wore my new dress from ModCloth out to dinner with my boyfriend, Nate. I really love this dress. It reminds me of a school of fish at the aquarium. The only downside is how tight it was up top, but I just let it out a bit and it was fine. The shoes, belt and sweater are all from Target. Most of what I own is from Target or ModCloth; I know what I like!

  1. Oh my gosh, that is the best dress ever! And the dichotomy of the plastic dragons and the spring flowers is slaying me.

  2. gaaaaah that dress! it’s been at the top of my modcloth wishlist for so long!!! I really hope I can save up money over the summer to get it :]
